Vacancy for Assistant Clerk

Rushmere St Andrew Parish Council is seeking to recruit an Assistant Clerk to commence work as soon as possible.

The role is very varied and will involve working closely with the Clerk, Parish Councillors, the public and other partner bodies including our contractors. The post-holder must have good interpersonal and computer skills (including Microsoft Office) together with business and financial awareness. Hours will be negotiable but a minimum attendance of 68 hours per month will be required inclusive of some occasional evening work (typically 2 or 3 evenings per month).

The successful applicant will be primarily based at our office in Tower Hall, Broadlands Way, although some working from home will be acceptable. There will also be a requirement to visit our lawn cemetery, allotments and play areas for regular inspections.

Remuneration will be based on experience and qualifications within the NJC for Local Government Services, Pay Band LC2.
